New House Pembrokeshire Holiday Activities![]() We are situated between the Pembrokeshire coast and the mountains. Sailing, windsurfing, surfing, are all available, as are pony trekking, mountain biking, walking. Indeed, most outdoor activities can be arranged for our guests. Your idea of 'activity', however, may be painting, reading or just lying back and absorbing the atmosphere - the choice is entirely up to you. In the evening, you can admire the spectacular sunsets and, if you do not want to cook, you can enjoy either your own barbeque, or a delicious organic meal delivered to your cottage. Or you can eat at one of the many nearby good quality restaurants and pubs. Pembrokeshire is rich in wildlife from the dolphins and seals of the coast, to the otters and badgers that inhabit the countryside around our cottages. The islands of Skomer, Grassholm, Ramsey and Caldey are all easily accessed from our farm. The area is also rich in history and culture. Walking in PembrokeshireWe are situated amid some of the most breath-taking scenery in Europe. The Preseli Mountains are our backdrop as we nestle in ancient woodland. Our 19th century traditional stone cottages surround the farm courtyard in our idyllic and relaxing setting. We are 8 miles from many sandy beaches and coves and the internationally famous Coast Path that runs for 180 miles along spectacular cliff-tops with panoramic vistas - the only coastal National Park in Britain. There is a beautiful 3 mile circular walk from our cottages, with views over the Preseli Mountains and Great Treffgarne Mountain. There is a similar walk nearby through 90 acres of forest. The path is bordered by mountain stream, and passes alongside a magical lake. Horse Riding in PembrokeshireBeach rides Wales' only American Horse Riding Centre Must seeScolton Manor Heritage Park is nearby and shows the history of life in Pembrokeshire over the past few hundred years. Fun for kidsSealyham Activity Centre, 2 miles from New House Farm. In the beautiful grounds of Sealyham Mansion your children can try a range of ‘fun’ activities such as mountain biking and sailing. Special restaurantsThe olde worlde Wolfe Inn, 2 miles from New House Farm, with its open fires, is a fantastic place to have food from a great menu, complemented by a large selection of drinks. The Corner Piece Inn, 2 miles from New House Farm. Enjoy a homemade meal or drink at this pub and restaurant. There are children’s menus. One of the few pubs to welcome dogs in the bar area. BakeryThe Welsh Bakery on the Old Bridge in Haverfordwest for fresh breads, creams, pies, pasties and cakes. The bakery has been hand baking bread from locally milled flour for 30 years.
